NIGERIA is the leading producer of Gum Arabic in West Africa, and considered to be the second largest world producer of Gum Arabic after Sudan.

Gum Arabic (Acacia Senegal) is natural gum harvested within the dry season of October to June from exterior of Acacia in form of hard nodules up to 50mm in diameter, and ranging from almost colourless to brown. It unique properties endow it with a wide range uses in food beverages, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. We are able to supply three grades of gum Arabic from Nigeria.

Gum Arabic is a key ingredient in traditional lithography and is used in printing, paint production, glue, cosmetics and various industrial applications, including viscosity control in inks and in textile industries. Gum Arabic is a complex mixture of polysaccharides and glycoproteins that is used primarily in the food industry as a stabilizer. It is edible and has E number E414.
